POSITION INFO:

A leading organisation is seeking a Buyer to ensure the best products are sourced at the right price while maintaining strong supplier relationships. This role is key to keeping production running smoothly by managing raw material and consumable purchases with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing goods and services to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
Managing supplier relationships to ensure a secure and capable supply base
Using SAP MRP data to place and expedite purchase orders
Resolving supplier payment issues and blocked invoices
Identifying and mitigating supply risks
Updating budgets, supply planning, and KPI files regularly
Collaborating across departments to drive procurement best practices

Requirements:

BCom Degree / Diploma (SAPICS / CIPS certification advantageous)
3-5 years'' experience in procurement or strategic sourcing
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of steel buying is a plus
