SUMMARY:
Our client with an international presence in South Africa is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Process Controller. This role is based in Stellenbosch.

POSITION INFO:
This role will help monitor, assess, and enhance the Group’s processes and internal controls. This role combines internal audit and internal control responsibilities, with a focus on compliance and optimisation of procedures. If you have a strong finance background and expertise in project management, business risk, and internal controls, we want to hear from you.

Duties:

Champion and assist in the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures
Ensure month-end financial reporting procedures are adhered to
Maintain and update the Delegation of Authority
Develop and deliver training in governance, compliance, risk management, and internal control
Analyse, document, and optimise internal controls and recommend improvements
Liaise with Group Internal Controls, internal audit, and external audit teams
Drive system enhancements and process automation
Support reporting functions and perform ad-hoc accounting tasks

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Degree in financial/accounting
CA(SA) or CIA

Experience:

3+ years of completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
5+ years’ experience in internal controls, audit, and business risk
Experience with SAP S4 Hana, SAP BPC, SOX, and the grain and agriculture industry

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding and experience in internal controls, compliance frameworks, and governance.
Proven ability to manage projects, including the implementation of control procedures and system enhancements.
Experience in internal and external audits, SOX controls, and implementing corrective actions based on audit findings.
Solid financial background, including understanding financial statements, reporting processes, and controls.
Proficiency in managing month-end procedures and financial reporting in alignment with corporate policies.
