Our client in Stellenbosch is looking for a Business Process Controller!
POSITION INFO:
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for governance, risk management, and process optimisation? Do you have a knack for internal controls, compliance, and business risk? If so, we have the perfect role for you!
As a Business Process Controller, you’ll play a critical role in monitoring, assessing, and optimising internal controls across the group. Acting as a hybrid between an Internal Auditor and an Internal Controls Analyst, your mission is to champion compliance, drive process enhancements, and ensure best practices are implemented.

Duties:
- Governance & Compliance – Develop, maintain, and train teams on policies and procedures. Ensure month-end reporting compliance and manage Delegation of Authority
- Internal Controls – Analyse, document, and optimise internal controls while recommending and monitoring improvements
- Risk Management – Implement and maintain SOX controls and risk management frameworks.
- Systems & Process Optimisation – Drive system enhancements and automation for improved efficiency.
- Ad-hoc Support – Provide backup support to other Controllers and assist with various accounting tasks as needed.
Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: - Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting / Internal Audit
- BCom Honours Accounting / Internal Audit
- CIA or CA(SA)
Experience: - Completed SAICA Articles
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in internal controls, internal audit, or business risk.
- SAP S4 Hana, SAP BPC, SOX
- Background in Grain, Agri, or Commodities Trading would be beneficial
Skills & Competencies: - Tech-Savvy – Strong expertise in MS Excel (advanced) and a proven ability to enhance accounting systems.
- Strategic Thinker – Able to challenge and influence management to drive business improvements.
- Detail-Oriented & Resilient – Comfortable working under pressure while ensuring accuracy.
- Excellent Communicator – Strong presentation, leadership, and people management skills.
