An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Business Manager (Agric) to take the lead in driving commercial banking growth. Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking a dynamic individual to manage and expand a portfolio of high-value clients in the agriculture and related industries.

This role is ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, proven success in relationship management, and a deep understanding of specialised sectors such as agriculture, fintech, manufacturing, and franchising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire and grow a portfolio of commercial clients (R30m–R1b turnover)
• Deliver tailored financial solutions through in-depth needs analysis
• Build trusted, long-term partnerships with decision-makers in key industries
• Leverage insights into trends like green energy and sustainable farming to add value
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive cross-sell opportunities
• Present complex credit applications with industry-specific insight

Requirements:

• A relevant degree (preferably BCom or BSc Agri)
• 7–10 years of experience in commercial banking or financial relationship management
• Strong understanding of the agricultural sector and value chains
• The ability to translate economic trends into client growth strategies
• A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and exceptional interpersonal skills
