Duties:
- Design, develop, and implement data models, dashboards, and reports to meet business requirements.
- Create, maintain, and optimize processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration.
- Develop data visualizations using BI tools to present actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business analysts and department heads to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and provide solutions to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Maintain data warehouses, ensuring that data is organized, reliable, and accessible for reporting and analysis.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve BI solutions and processes.
- Assist in the ongoing development of business intelligence strategies to improve data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications: - Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Honour's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience: - A minimum of 2 years’ experience in ETL and Business Intelligence, 3-5 years’ experience is advantageous.
- 2 – 4 Years' experience in business intelligence development, data analysis, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) and data modelling techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend).
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies:- Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g. ETL, SSIS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript for advanced data processing or automation tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with the business and management.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
