SUMMARY:
Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL) – Durban – R600k to R800k per annum
POSITION INFO:
A client driven to deliver competitive solutions has an open vacancy for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for developing and maintaining of various client-specific as well as operational reports, ensuring data accuracy, and providing actionable insights. You will also play a key role in analysing, interpreting, and visualizing data to support decision-making processes
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Qlik, Excel and Power Pivot
- Design, develop and maintain robust SQL databases to support business operations.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all databases.
- Ensure data visualizations are accessible, accurate, and actionable for end-users across the organization.
- Tailor reports and dashboards to meet the specific needs of various clients across different sectors.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a BI Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in a BPO or similar environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including Power Pivot.
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization.
- Qlik experience (advantageous)
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with cloud-based BI tools and platforms (e.g. Azure).
