POSITION INFO:
Area/Location: Diep River, Cape Town

Key Deliverables:

• Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
• Analyse market trends and assess their impact on current and prospective clients.
• Implement marketing strategies to increase clientele and revenue.
• Organize creative campaigns and promotional events to drive revenue growth and attract new clients.
• Oversee the execution of marketing strategies, including advertising, communication campaigns (TV, social media, radio, etc.), exhibitions, and promotional events.
• Maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities.
• Monitor campaign progress using various metrics and submit performance reports.
• Conduct control surveys to assess customer requirements and engagement levels.
• Develop marketing materials, including brochures, press releases, and website content.
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
• Promote company products by addressing and anticipating client objectives.
• Prepare sales contracts in compliance with legal requirements.
• Maintain records of sales, revenue, and invoices.
• Provide reliable feedback and after-sales support.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international customers.
• Forecast business projections and trends, formulate strategic plans, and manage budgets effectively.
• Negotiate purchasing terms with vendors, including price, quantity, delivery conditions, and markdowns.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning & Production, and Design teams to align with client requirements.
• Oversee the Marketing and Business Development Administrator, ensuring efficient administrative support.

• Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Textile Technology, or Business Development.
• Qualification in Marketing or Business Development.
• 5 - 10 years of proven experience in marketing, business development, and growth within the textile or apparel manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated track record in sales and new business growth.
• Strong marketing expertise with innovative strategies for brand promotion and revenue generation.
• Proven experience in implementing successful marketing strategies.
• Experience in Hospitality, Retail, e-Commerce, or Export business development.
• Strong ability to build long-term relationships with professionals across all organizational levels.
• Aptitude for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong business acumen with analytical and marketing expertise.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to assess and evaluate industry opportunities.
