Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager with deep expertise in industrial projects and project management. This role is critical for driving the growth of ProjectLink by identifying new opportunities, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and positioning our company as the go-to provider for project management services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development and Growth:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the industrial project sector.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand ProjectLink’s market presence and achieve revenue targets.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
2. Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Conduct client needs assessments and propose tailored solutions to meet their project management challenges.
3. Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with leadership to align business development activities with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify opportunities for differentiation.
4. Industrial Project Expertise:
• Leverage a deep understanding of industrial projects to provide insights and guidance to clients.
• Identify challenges and opportunities specific to industrial sectors such as mining, energy, construction, or manufacturing.
5. Promotion of ProjectLink Services:
• Showcase ProjectLink’s expertise in areas like cost engineering, risk management, project planning, and stakeholder management.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
6. Collaboration and Team Leadership:
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in business development practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field. (Advanced degrees or certifications in project management such as those offered by the PMI or AACE would be advantageous.)
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the industrial project sector.
• In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices, particularly in high-complexity industrial projects.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue and business growth targets.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of industrial project lifecycles and the challenges faced by companies in executing such projects.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
