POSITION INFO:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in planning, executing, and managing comprehensive test lifecycles, including Test Automation.
• Strong understanding of process frameworks and standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with business counterparts, development teams, and operational teams.
• Proficiency in IT tools such as Palantir Foundry, JIRA (x-ray), Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like MS Power BI, Quicksight, Tableau, and similar platforms.
• Solid grasp of technology integration, software architecture, and system specifications.
• Good knowledge of system and data engineering concepts.
• Ability to handle additional responsibilities within the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• Experience with Integration Testing Frameworks (e.g., REST-assured, Protractor, Selenium, Tricentis Tosca).
• Knowledge of BMW-specific test frameworks is a plus.
• Skills in Defect Management (identification, logging, assignment, resolution, verification, closure).
• Experience in Non-Functional Testing (performance, stability, usability).
• Familiarity with Github and Github Actions.
• Knowledge of AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control.
• Expertise in Requirements Analysis and Management.
• Ability to assist in risk identification and management.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and articulate ideas clearly.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant IT or Engineering Degree.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Software Development.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Analysis.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Testing.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively with teams for system analysis, design, development, and testing within an agile/DevOps framework.
• Document and understand system specifications, including programming languages and frameworks.
• Provide professional recommendations to the product owner and sub-product owners.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive test management strategy, including both manual and automated testing.
• Integrate automated and manual tests into a coordinated release management process, considering various environments and stages (e.g., Foundry, AWS, Code Repo).
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to support testing activities.
• Establish and manage test automation capabilities, including defining and maintaining automation concepts and processes.
• Perform analysis of test processes, select appropriate test cases for automation, and ensure ongoing documentation and updates.
• Migrate manual test cases to automated formats and manage automated test case updates.
• Define test data requirements for DevOps data extractors and provide training in test automation.
• Participate in test planning and support other team members with automated test cases.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the testing team and their activities.
• Lead testing progress meetings, manage defect resolution, and address any issues impacting testing phases.
• Act as a QA lead for testing activities and escalate issues as needed.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities outlined in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter.
• Manage business processes and assist with POCs and business value calculations from a BA perspective.
• Prioritize requirements and develop conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
