SUMMARY:
Datacentrix is looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner who will bridge product ownership and business analysis, working closely with the development team, internal stakeholders, and senior product owners to ensure alignment on project objectives, clarify requirements, and establish effective agile processes. This role is essential in setting up core product management practices, gathering and translating requirements, and supporting agile development processes during a critical growth phase. The Business Analyst / Product Owner will eventually roll off as the full-time team becomes self-sufficient in product ownership and business analysis.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Matric plus Masters or Bachelors degree in Sciences, Business, Information Systems, Product Management, or a related field.
- 5+ Years in Business Analysis, product ownership, or product management within an Agile environment.
- Client-Facing Experience: Proven ability to manage client expectations and align product features with client needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: History of working across teams to align product requirements with technical solutions.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Demonstrated experience using data to prioritize features and improve product outcomes.
Skills Required:- Product Management: Knowledge of product lifecycle management and agile methodologies.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Expertise in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage expectations, deliver updates, and foster stakeholder relationships.
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data analytics and KPIs to guide product decisions and assess feature performance.
- Change Management: Skilled at implementing processes that support change and establish best practices within a growing team.
- Professional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
Role Accountabilities:
- Product Ownership Support: Act as the main point of contact for product needs, bridging communication between development teams and stakeholders.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Document and prioritize business requirements, converting them into clear technical specifications.
- Agile Process Facilitation: Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to keep development aligned with project goals.
- User Story Development: Write and refine user stories, including acceptance criteria and task breakdowns for development.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project progress, priorities, and any issues affecting timelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for efficient product development workflows.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data and metrics to guide decisions and validate feature prioritization.
- Change Management: Support the transition to a self-sustaining, full-time team by setting up and refining product management processes.
