POSITION INFO:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will take ownership of the product vision and strategy, leading efforts to improve profitability through efficient and scalable systems. You will drive product success, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. You will manage key product and project elements including team prioritization, business models, specifications, budgets, financial models, progress tracking, and resource management. The role is similar to that of a Product Manager and involves overseeing a multi-disciplinary team.

Team Function:

• Business analysis across the division (hardware, apps, back-end, and Salesforce CRM for the call center).
• Business intelligence and data analysis for various departments including call center, marketing, and customer delight.
• Logistics, supply chain, and order fulfillment for international markets.

Minimum Education (Essential):

• BEng (Industrial / Chemical)
• BCom (Information Systems / IT)
• BSc (Computer Science / Informatics)

Minimum Education (Desirable):

• BEng Hons (Industrial / Chemical)
• BCom Hons (Information Systems / IT)
• BSc Hons (Computer Science / Informatics)

Minimum Experience (Required):

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, ideally in the IT, software, or medical device industry (experience with SaaS/PaaS is a plus).
• Experience in developing project, product, and system specifications.
• Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and project management.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.
• Experience in mentoring and workshop facilitation.

Key Skills and Knowledge (Essential):

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with Google Business Suite.
• Experience in solution design and documentation.
• Ability to design specifications to a functional level.
• Expertise in business process design and business intelligence.
• Knowledge of Big Data and project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with BPMN 2.0, UML, and API concepts.
• Experience with task management tools like JIRA, Monday.com, or similar.
• Knowledge of Confluence or similar documentation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Mentorship (10%)

• Support team effectiveness by handling recruitment, training, and development as needed.
• Monitor and appraise performance and provide feedback.
• Ensure the team meets deadlines and produces high-quality content, maintaining professionalism internally and externally.
• Provide necessary resources for team growth and development.

Business Analysis (35%)

• Define and research system and product requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Champion best practices for design and development to maintain high-quality products.
• Develop and evaluate specification documents, UX/UI designs, wireframes, and test cases.
• Manage system testing and approval, providing clear communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project management.
• Monitor and enhance existing products and systems, solving issues as they arise.

Business Processes and Strategy (25%)

• Manage client and supplier relationships within the team.
• Drive business process improvements and optimize operations.
• Formulate strategies for product and project implementation, addressing commercialization, legal, and operational aspects.
• Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Ensure product profitability through streamlined development and maintenance processes.
• Ensure data-driven decisions are at the forefront of the division’s operations.
• Oversee the smooth implementation of changes, addressing concerns and ensuring successful transitions.

Project Delivery (20%)

• Lead the full project and product management lifecycle, including capacity management, stakeholder engagement, and resource tracking.
• Oversee multiple projects at various stages of development and implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure cohesive project management.
• Effectively prioritize tasks within the team to ensure efficient execution.

Record-Keeping, Management, and Compliance (10%)

• Maintain records to comply with ISO, CE, FDA, and other relevant standards.
• Manage reporting on strategies, tasks, and performance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Take ownership of project and product quality, ensuring alignment with regulatory and legislative compliance.
• Oversee the continued improvement and upkeep of existing applications, ensuring they meet specifications and user requirements.
