SUMMARY:
Business Analyst (Advanced)

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong database management skills to support and enhance our LCAAP platform. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, design business processes, and translate business needs into technical solutions. Key responsibilities include managing the Postgres database, developing workflows in KNIME, and improving system processes. Experience with Agile frameworks and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and QlikView is beneficial.

• Strong Business Analysis capabilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of database management principles
• Expertise in reporting and data visualization
• Proficiency in gathering and defining business requirements
• Skilled in Business Process Design and improvement
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Willingness to take on additional tasks as outlined in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

• Experience with KNIME analytics and workflow management
• Knowledge of QlikView for data visualization and reporting
• Strong background in data analytics and insights generation
• Proficiency in database management and design
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks, such as SAFe, Nexus, or LeSS
• Experience working within the BMW Agile Working Model and ITPM (a plus)
• Competency in using Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, X-Ray, BitBucket)

• A degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.

• Maintain and enhance the LCAAP platform, focusing on:
  1. Collaborating with Data Engineers to manage the Postgres database.
  2. Developing and maintaining business rules using KNIME workflows.
  3. Overseeing system redesigns to incorporate new technologies and source systems in line with business processes and needs.
  4. Engage with business teams to gather requirements and build a comprehensive understanding of source systems.
  5. Design optimized business processes tailored to the needs of the organization.
  6. Serve as the liaison between business users and data engineers, ensuring seamless communication and understanding.
  7. Support the product owner in meeting project goals and objectives.
  8. Analyze current processes, identifying opportunities for automation and improvement.
  9. Provide ongoing support for existing processes and applications in collaboration with process partners and other departments, ensuring data consistency across all stakeholders.
  10. Empower business users through training and the development of self-service solutions.
