SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Building & Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and service provider management at a premium, modern mixed-use building in De Waterkant. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to building management.

POSITION INFO:
Location: De Waterkant, Cape Town
Reporting To: Trustee & Managing Agent
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (availability required for emergencies after hours)

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
Conduct regular building inspections, report findings, and manage maintenance tasks.
Oversee compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
Handle resident queries, implement Body Corporate Conduct Rules, and manage access control.
Obtain and evaluate maintenance quotes, monitor budgets, and support insurance claims.
Respond to urgent maintenance issues and emergencies as needed.
Maintain records, reports, and ensure contractor SLAs are met.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in building and facilities management.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively address maintenance issues.
Hands-on skills to manage minor repairs and maintenance.
Proficiency in budgeting and contractor negotiations.
Own vehicle, laptop, and cell phone required.
