Location: Alerberton, South Africa
Salary: ZAR 30,000 to ZAR 38,000 per month (depending on experience)

We are a dynamic and growing property management and construction company seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company's day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
• Manage the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance.
• Perform monthly bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns, PAYE, and other tax-related duties.
• Work closely with external auditors and manage the SARS audit process.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in bookkeeping up to trial balance.
• Experience handling SARS audits and managing tax compliance.
• Excellent reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks).
• Strong understanding of South African tax laws and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
