The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Nursing, 2-3 years of billing experience, and advanced computer literacy. SAP experience is an advantage. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify and correct discrepancies in billing reports.

Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking a Billings Auditor to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes while maintaining high standards of patient care and compliance. The role involves auditing patient files, managing billing systems, and optimizing revenue in line with contractual agreements.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Nursing
2-3 years of experience in a billings environment
Advanced computer literacy
Experience with SAP (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

Conduct billing audits in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Ensure adherence to patient advocacy principles.
Review and analyze billing reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Optimize hospital billing processes in line with medical scheme agreements.
Perform End of Case processing on the approved system.
Maintain accurate records of supplier invoices.
Finalize invoices for private patients and ensure correct filing for collections.
Audit patient files to ensure compliance with medical scheme contracts.
Analyze reports for discrepancies and trends to support decision-making.
