Department:  Marketing - Liaising with partners in Litigation, Family Law, Estates and Commercial departments

POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Business Developer to join their team
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, with a particular focus on the legal industry
This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm
The Business Developer will work closely with our attorneys and marketing team to expand our client base and enhance our market presence

Minimum requirements:

• Qualification in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field
• Proven experience in business development, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
• Strong understanding of the legal industry and its market
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and profitability
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients, partnerships, and markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
• Collaborate with attorneys and the marketing team to create and execute client development plans
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients
• Monitor and report on business development activities and results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and build professional connections
• Work with the Marketing department to ensure digital marketing initiative
• Assist and develop tender documents and panel applications
• General marketing duties
