BIM Coordinator

BIM Co-ordinator - Cape Town
Required for one of the Top 5 Architectural firms in the country.

POSITION INFO:
e are looking for a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to join our client’s dynamic architectural practice. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of BIM processes, ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans, and maintain alignment with our client’s BIM Best Practices. You’ll play a key role in software management, training, and project coordination to drive efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Implement ISO 19650 standards and manage BIM models across projects.
• Oversee BIM processes from concept to construction.
• Develop and enforce BIM standards, procedures, and workflows.
• Train and mentor team members on BIM best practices.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure seamless BIM integration.
• Manage BIM software, including Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Docs (ACC/BIM 360).
• Support project teams with clash detection, project setup, and model audits.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of BIM Coordination experience (5+ years in architecture).
• Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk CDE platforms.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of construction processes and large-scale project documentation.
• Experience in automation, scripting (Revit API, C#, or Python a plus).
• Knowledge of Rhino, Blender, or SketchUp is beneficial.
