BI Developer

SUMMARY:
Network Recruitment is looking for a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Developer . As a BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing data models, reporting, and analysis solutions to empower business decision-making. Your work will directly impact strategic initiatives and help drive data-driven insights across the organization.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• BI Solutions Development: Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient BI solutions using a variety of data tools and technologies.
• Data Integration & ETL: Develop and manage ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified data warehouse.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Create meaningful and visually appealing reports and dashboards using BI tools.
• Data Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain data models that support business analytics and reporting needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business users, data analysts, and IT teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize BI applications, reports, and data pipelines to ensure high performance.
• Data Governance: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the BI systems.
• Documentation & Training: Provide documentation for BI solutions and offer training or support to end-users.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst.
  • Strong experience with BI development, reporting, and data integration tools.
  • Experience in Data Warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with working in Agile development environments.

Required Technologies & Tools:

• BI & Reporting Tools:
  • Microsoft Power BI (or Tableau, QlikView, or similar tools)
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Data Modeling:
  • SQL-based data modeling
  • OLAP cubes, star/snowflake schema design
• ETL Tools:
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Alteryx)
• Databases & Data Warehousing:
  • SQL Server (or other relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Languages/Technologies:
  • SQL (advanced querying and optimization)
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis is advantageous
  • Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for Power BI is a plus
• Version Control:
  • Familiar with version control tools such as Git
• Other Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights.
