POSITION INFO:
A valid South African Driver’s License
South African Auto Electrician Qualification Certificate with red seal
At least 4 years of RECENT post qualification experience in a reputable workshop.
Self motivated and driven
Neat and presentable candidate required
Speak Fluent English, Afrikaans is a bonus.
Fully literate in English
A solid track record (Not a job jumper)
No criminal record
A stable and gap-less work history
Contactable references
Field technician experience as he needs to be able think on his feet when out on a call.
Prepared to do Standby and call outs as and when required.
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostics capabilities
Quality of work must ensure no returns on work performed within 6-month period, unless customer damage can be proven.
Work need to be carried out to OEM standards.
Be able to read and understand wiring diagrams`
Health and Safety – Adhere and enforce all health and safety standards and policies in the organization.
Establish & maintain a safe work environment and maintain excellent house keeping
Ensure job card/Work sheet is completed with all necessary details and readable, and paperwork to be handed in daily.
Be able to do detailed reports on work carried out
Be able to to work as a team member

Component diagnosis and repair for example alternators and starters.
Component removal and installation.
Diagnostic scanning.
Diagnosis and repair of wiring 12 to 24 volt.
Custom wiring installations.
Custom lighting installations
Alarm system diagnosis and repair.
Installation of alarm systems and central locking.
Radio and audio video system installations.
Reverse and dash camera installations.
Air-conditioning system diagnosis and repair.
Installation of trailer plug systems.
Minor electronics repairs.
Problem solving to repair minor electrical components for example electric mirrors.
