Embark on an exciting journey with our firm, where innovation and collaboration drive our success. As an Audit Senior, you will be part of one of the largest insurance-focused CPA and consulting firms in the US, gaining invaluable international exposure while working from South Africa.

This Role Offers:

• International Exposure: Collaborate with a prominent US firm while based in South Africa.
• Location: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement in our vibrant Cape Town office (Century City) or our dynamic Johannesburg office (Woodmead).
• Contract: A 4–6-month contract with the possibility of extension based on performance.
• Working Hours: Align your schedule with US working hours, typically from 14:00 to 20:00 (6 hours), with flexibility to complete the remainder of your workday as it suits you.

Role Highlights:

• Lead Audit Engagements: Manage and oversee audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for audit-related inquiries.
• Team Supervision: Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analyses and evaluate internal controls to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Reporting: Prepare and present audit findings and reports to clients, highlighting key issues and recommendations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards while staying current with developments in accounting and auditing practices.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing audit processes and improving client service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: CA(SA), ACCA, or CIMA
• Experience: 2+ years of post-article experience in external audit
• Specialization: Proven experience with US GAAP
• Industry Exposure: Solid background in auditing within the Insurance and Non-Profit industries
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with audit software such as CaseWare is highly desirable
