SUMMARY:
Exceptional Luxury Safari Lodge is looking for an ASSISTANT WORKSHOP MANAGER

POSITION INFO:
Candidate requirements:

Must have at least 3 – 5 years of experience supervising in a vehicle workshop
Qualified Diesel or Petrol Mechanic or qualified in time (4 years +) preferable
Welding and panel beating experience will be an advantage
A valid unendorsed SA driver’s license is essential.
Communication skills - with guests and fellow staff members
The standard of your work must exceed the standard of the lodge
Good organizational ability
Lateral thinking ability
Initiative
Must adhere to World Class Hospitality and Service Standards
Able to handle pressure, and still operate effectively
Energetic, proactive person
Good interpersonal skills – able to function as part of a team
Attention to detail and initiative
Diligence and self-motivation to meet deadlines and keep on top of your job
Willingness/ability to share information and teach and inspire others

Candidate responsibilities:

To follow up on work as per the vehicle inspection report sent by the lodges and H.O.D
Service Schedule
Services of Vehicle, Plant, and Generators
Assist with Month End
Assist with Stock Take
Recharges
Experience with Stock Control and accounting
Management of stores and stock.
Ordering of spares
Oversee a team of mechanics and daily work schedule
Oversee workshop operations when the Manager is away

This is a permanent live-in position. Transport to/from leave cycles is the successful candidate’s responsibility.
