POSITION INFO:
Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route. The SPA Team is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. Below is an outline of the KPAs, the minimum qualifications and the ideal skills sets. KPA’s include, but are not limited to:
- Administration – office planning and SAP administration;
- Monitor bookings in order to optimise rooms;
- Maintain stock levels, assist with staff roster preparation, and maintenance logging and parr level maintenance;
- Providing various forms of massage therapy and specialised treatments to guests, members and staff;
- Retailing health and beauty merchandise;
- Performing reception duties when required;
- Promote product knowledge by training staff;
- Disciplinary procedures.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following abilities:
- Time management and ability to organise, plan, and prioritise work;
- Interpersonal skills and relationship building;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels;
- Resilience, reliability and ability to pay attention to detail;
- Good product and technique knowledge;
- Problem solving;

Minimum / Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric;
- A 2-year spa Qualification (SAASPH and ITEC or CIDESCO, ideally including CIBTAC);
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) as language of communication;
- Minimum of 3 years’ spa experience, with 2 years’ experience in supervising staff;
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills and experience;
- Strong administrative skills.
We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
