We are looking for a Senior Ansible Operations Engineer to join our team. The role involves developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and managing automation tasks in a secure environment. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies to ensure optimal cloud and infrastructure operations.

POSITION INFO:
Location: South Africa (Preference for South African citizens/residents)
Contract Duration: 3 Years
Team: High Performance Computing Simulation

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with Ansible Core and Automation Platform.
• Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud technologies.
• Expertise in Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES) and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with GitHub and version control systems.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages like Bash and Python.
• 3+ years in IT operations and automation.
• ITIL and Scrum experience.

• Dynatrace, Splunk, Red Hat Satellite experience.
• Ansible certification (RHCE), Linux certification (RHCSA).
• ServiceNow, GitOps, VMware, Private Cloud knowledge.

• Degree in Information Systems or equivalent.

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Deploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure.
• Implement security controls and compliance requirements.
• Create and manage IaC with Terraform.
• Perform lifecycle management for operating systems and Ansible.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in automation migrations.
• Manage GitOps, Jira user stories, and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members.
