Animal Laboratory Technician / Semen Controller

SUMMARY:
A market leader within the Agricultural Genetics sector is looking for a qualified Lab Technician / Semen controller for their branch in Bloemfontein.

POSITION INFO:

• Suitable BSc Degree in Genetics / Physiology / Forensics / Chemistry / Physics
• Minimum 1 year suitable Laboratory experience
• Valid drivers license with own transport
• General maintenance of laboratory
• Cleaning, refilling of nitrogen flasks
• Cleaning of specialized Laboratory equipment, i.e. scales, PH meters, osmometer, autoclave, pipettes, etc.
• Destroying of semen and all admin involved
• Embryo flush, lapa programs and all documentation involved
• Frozen seed sales, sorting
• Seed thinning, fertility tests
• Loading of rams
