Al Engineers (Gen AI) – Remote – R800k to R1mil per annum

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions for complex business problems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, and data teams to integrate AI capabilities into scalable applications.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code in Python.
- Design and implement data models within SAP Datasphere and build Python-based data transformations.
- Create data integration solutions to connect external sources to SAP Datasphere using Python scripts and APIs.
- Leverage AWS Lambda for developing, deploying, and managing serverless applications.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong foundation in software development, mathematics, and analytical problem-solving.
- Proven experience developing AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Solid understanding of SQL with experience writing complex queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 and their real-world applications.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face) into Python
- Python: Deep understanding of language fundamentals; familiarity with frameworks/libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Data Modeling: Experience designing data models in SAP Datasphere.
- loud & Serverless: Proficient with AWS Lambda and serverless architecture.
- APIs & Integration: Strong background in building integrations using REST APIs and scripting.
