POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric qualification.
• A minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in aircraft preparation.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong time management and physical stamina.
• In-depth knowledge of preparation methods, including rotary and manual flatting techniques.
• Ability to use flatting papers and perform inspection criteria.
• Flexible, adaptable and up to date with preparation processes.
• Strong mathematical skills for quick mental calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute tasks as per daily schedule and ensure consumables are pre-ordered.
• Prepare aircraft components for paint application through masking, sanding, buffing, and spot priming; occasionally use body filling and defect repair methods.
• Inspect components for damages or defects before and after preparation to ensure quality standards.
• Remove scratches, swirl marks, and other imperfections from prepared surfaces.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
• Maintain traceability documentation for all components from start to finish.
• Adhere to hazardous waste handling protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Uphold high housekeeping standards in line with the company’s 5S policy.
