Aerospace Systems Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer with experience in the defense industry to join their cutting-edge engineering team. This role involves the design, integration, and optimization of complex aerospace systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, analysis, and integration of aerospace and defense systems.
• Define and manage system requirements, ensuring compliance with industry and military standards.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to develop and optimize system architecture.
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and validation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analysis (FMEA/FMECA) to enhance system safety.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities for new and existing aerospace systems.
• Document system specifications, design changes, and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in aerospace systems engineering within the defense sector.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).
• Experience with DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, and other aerospace/defense standards.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, or similar system modeling tools.
• Knowledge of avionics, propulsion, control systems, and mission-critical technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-security environment and obtain necessary clearances if required.
