POSITION INFO:
Job & Company Description

The role helps ensure the financial stability of the scheme and provides adequate healthcare coverage for members. It uses data analysis to guide decisions on benefit design and risk management, while also presenting trends and outcomes based on the scheme’s data.

Responsibilities

Strong organizational skills (planning, budgeting, time management)
Results-oriented with a focus on performance
Business acumen and financial/project management abilities
Proficient in business report writing, communication, and presentations
Strong interpersonal and governance skills
Analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to solve complex problems and manage conflicting priorities
Diplomatic approach to creating win-win solutions
Good decision-making and sound judgment
Awareness of stakeholder sensitivities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Knowledge of Corporate Governance, including the Companies Act and King IV
Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment

In essence, the role involves analyzing processes, managing stakeholders, driving improvements, and ensuring effective business continuity and risk management.

Experience and Qualifications

NQF Level 7 qualification in Actuarial Science
Qualified actuary or an Actuarial Analyst who has passed A301 or any of the F100 series of exams of the Actuarial S Society of South Africa

4 years’ relevant experience in actuarial analysis in medical schemes or comparable environment
