POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a meticulous Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic Analytics Department. This role will involve contributing to the development and implementation of internal capital models, conducting data analysis, and ensuring accurate reporting for statutory returns (QRT/SAM). You will work closely with various teams to assess the adequacy of pricing, technical provisions, and capital models, providing valuable insights to both management and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement internal capital models to support decision-making.
Calculate technical provisions, premium pipelines, and loss estimates.
Analyze data to ensure ongoing maintenance and refinement of capital models.
Establish and update policies and procedures related to capital models.
Provide data-driven insights and evaluations to management for strategic decisions.
Monitor and assess risk exposures, contributing to catastrophe modeling efforts.
Analyze business portfolios and identify key performance drivers.
Prepare statutory returns (QRT/SAM) and support the data preparation for IFRS 17 and rating agencies.
Deliver analytics support and reports to clients as needed.
Produce regular reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) on assigned areas.
Respond to audit and technical inspection requests, implementing approved changes.
Promote a positive image of the company in dealings with business partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of experience in actuarial analysis or a similar role.
Knowledge of Reserving, Reinsurance, IFRS 17, and SAM regulations.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and interpret data.
Proficiency in actuarial modeling software, Microsoft Office, and statistical analysis tools.
Understanding of financial reporting and risk management principles.
High attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
