SUMMARY:
Gijima is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts Receivable Officer in a full-time, office-based role. This 12-month contract offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic financial team while gaining valuable experience in a professional environment.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

National Diploma in Finance/Accounting
3 years’ financial experience

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Understanding of the Companies Act 2008 and Corporate Governance principles
Knowledge of business ethics and risk management
Excellent communication and financial management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and submit restoration quotations for review
Process approved credit memos and notes in a timely manner
Address queries from the online portal, email, and Call Centre efficiently
Ensure accurate and timely invoice generation and submission
Assist in recovering outstanding accounts and escalating irrecoverable debt
Support weekly Accounts Receivable age analysis
Accurately allocate, reconcile, and review received payments, including bulk and foreign receipts
Assist in the closure of accounting periods and financial system modules
