Accountant (German fluent)

SUMMARY:
An innovative multinational transportation and courier conglomerate seeks a German speaking Accountant to join their dynamic South African team, but with oversight of the UK division. The role will be office based in Johannesburg East.

POSITION INFO:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for overall accuracy and completion of financial reporting and accounting processes for the UK office. The role will also support the development of a FP&A.

Duties Include:

• Facilitate the completeness and accuracy of month-end procedures
• Review group cost results
• Process transactions
• Interpret and provide insights related to group cost structures
• Produce financial results
• Engage with business in determining the financial impact of business projects
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Lead engagement with auditors and finalisation of audit files
• Provide financial guidance
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting

• 4 to 5 years' experience within an accounting and audit function essential
• Fluency in German and English ESSENTIAL
• Logistics or courier industry experience beneficial
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills
