SUMMARY:
Are you interested or have experience working in the "Energy Sector" which an essential driving force in our modern world today?

We require an energetic, committed and enthusiastic Accountant with their degree & relevant finance experience for this exciting opportunity working for our very well established client at their new chic, hi-tech modern premises in Cape Town.

Experience with IFRS, Tax, trusts, and your completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

Matric, Accounting degree (B. Com/ B. Comp or similar)
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous
Good Accounting knowledge including IFRS and Tax
Experience with trusts advantageous
Good problem-solving and strong communication skills
Computer skills (CaseWare, Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Previous experience working on Sage X3 advantageous
Analytical and logical thinking skills
Ability to work both independently as well as within a team and deadline driven
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Problem solving skills
Decision-making ability
Commercial awareness
Ability to motivate others
Team working skill

DUTIES

Run and maintain accounting up to trial balance stage
Recording of day-to-day financial transactions
Monthly supporting schedules to the trial balance
Loan register maintenance (drawdowns, repayments, interests, etc.)
Monthly reconciliations: banks, loans and tax
Processing Month end and year end journals
Assistance on annual financial audits as required
Review of petty cash reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and posting of transactions on the ERP system
Manage obligations with lenders under the finance documents
Preparation of consolidated and separate annual financial statements
Preparation of quarterly management accounts for individual companies as well as consolidated
Preparation of quarterly documentation requirements for individual companies
Load payments on the banking system
Assistance with the finance for trusts
Assisting Finance Manager in any ad-hoc areas of requirement in the financial sector

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
