SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the position:

To actively oversee and complete the day-to-day operations and functions of all financial processes, transactions, reporting and processing for the business.

POSITION WITHIN THE COMPANY:

The Accountant shall report to the below (in order of seniority)

1^st Level : Lodge General Manager.

2^nd Level: Company Shareholders.

Education & Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 (with accounting)

Tertiary accounting qualification is advantageous.

Experience:

At least 3 years experience in an accounting environment, preferably in the hospitality or tourism sectors.

Technical proficiencies:

Experienced in working on an electronic accounting system such as (but not limited to) Pastel, Accpac, SAGE accounting, Quick Books, SAP accounting, etc.

3.CASHBOOK / CASH CONTROL

4.INVENTORY CONTROL

5.FINANCIAL REPORTING

6.BUDGETING

7. ASSET REGISTER / DEPRECIATION

8. ANNUAL AUDIT / FINANCIAL YEAR-END

The applicant is required to work in Botswana at the hotel 3 weeks per month.
