POSITION INFO:

My client in the security industry, looking to employ a reliable and professional Accountant. You will be responsible for various aspects of the accounting function, including allocating bank receipts, reviewing debt collection and correspondence, prepare journals for auditors etc. If you are an Accountant with 5+ years experience and the relevant qualifications, please apply.

Requirements:

• Allocate bank receipts on Sage, as well as customer invoices and statements
• Review client debt collection, and act as client liaison for critical services
• Review debt collection and correspondence with Key account clients, and ad-hoc invoices
• Manage onboarding debit order clients and cancellations
• Pull creditors invoices, review and process on Sage, reconcile and submit for payment
• Import CSV uploads to Sage for Petty Cash, DB cash cards, debit orders and creditors payments
• Put together data and information required for labour inspections
• Responsible for annual license renewals, including PAPA License, PSIRA Licenses etc
• Manage sharedrive scanning and labelling
• Responsible for petty cash within the office
• Maintain monthly netcash debit orders, onboard new clients and submit monthly payments
• Compile and calculate PPS invoices for clients
• Load beneficiaries and payments on ABSA banking system
• Review, load and reconcile DB cash cards
• Prepare journals from accounts data for auditors to review and process
• Monthly recons for payroll and general balance sheet clearing accounts
• Maintain Fixed asset register, depreciation and recons monthly
• Maintain costings, recons and reports
• Train and manage junior clerks

Requirements:

• Must have Higher Diploma/ Degree in Financial Accounting
• Must have 5+ years of Financial Accounting experience
• Must have excellent MS Excel, Word and Outlook experience
• Proficient in Sage
• Good communication skills written and verbal (English/Afrikaans)
• Must be on time, reliable, patient and professional
• Must be bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
