POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Complete daily bank reconciliations on D365 for all brand accounts, ensuring payments and student refunds are cleared on time. Proactively minimize unreconciled entries outside of employee control
Reconcile cash clearing account weekly, ensuring proactive follow-up until the account clears to zero. Resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring year-end reconciliation is complete
Review and ensure intercompany transactions are processed accurately and timely. Monitor account variances and escalate issues as needed. Ensure written confirmation for balances before deadline submission
Accurately complete the foreign VAT template by the 14th working day, ensuring all supporting documents are filed and in sequence
Process corporate card transactions and ensure all supporting documents are received on time
Complete the local VAT template by the 19th working day, ensuring it reconciles with Advtech pack proceeds disclosure. Raise tax invoices for assets sold appropriately
Reconcile the card clearing account weekly, ensuring all transactions are followed up and cleared to zero by year-end
Reconcile the PAYU clearing account weekly, following up on unbalanced transactions until the account clears to zero

Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge of IFRS - International Financial Reporting Standards
Expertise in preparing, managing, and analysing budgets, ensuring financial plans align with organizational goals and maintaining cost controls
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting roles, with a proven track record of managing financial processes, preparing reconciliations, and handling various accounting duties
Completed 3-year SAICA Articles at a Large Audit Firm: 3 years of training and experience gained from working at a reputable audit firm, with exposure to diverse clients, industries, and comprehensive financial audits (Advantageous)

Qualification:
BCom Accounting: A degree in accounting or finance
Advantageous: BCom Accounting Honours: An advanced qualification in accounting
