• Capture month end journal entries.
• Review and approval of supplier invoices.
• Review of creditors reconciliations.
• Oversight of debtors and creditor’s function.
• Review of monthly income statement results.
• Analysis of monthly statement movements.
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Ad-hoc queries from line manager.
• Perform stock takes on an ad-hoc basis.
• Monthly stock reconciliations and investigation of differences.
• Preparation of quarterly reporting schedules for audit committee, BBB-EE, Sustainability and Risk reporting.
• Prepare detailed income statement and balance sheet reporting schedules.
• Preparation of quarterly regional forecast.
• Preparation of annual regional budget.
• Reconciliation of payroll reports to the GL monthly.
• Fixed assets reconciliation and review of monthly entries.
• Capture asset disposals request.
• Capture order requests as required.
• Approval of orders.
• Liase with external and external auditors as required.
• Ensure stock takes are properly undertaken and the results reviewed and reported based on an internal control aspect.
• Ensure that all purchasing procedures and authority limits set out in the approval framework are adhered too.
• Train regional finance team.
• Monitor and manage performance of debtors/creditors function.
• Reviews of debtors engaging with team weekly.
• Review purchase order accruals weekly and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare daily cash flow reporting.
• Collaborate and work closely with the Head Office Finance to drive change and improvements
• Revenue reporting.
• Review of disbursements ageing.
• Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
• Evaluating financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues, strategize solutions, and help the organization run efficiently.
• Offering guidance on cost reductions, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Monitoring procurement spend and BBB-EE related performance.
• Reconcile petty cash.
• Maintain certain inventory stores.
• Cross Departmental Skilling.
• Role rotations within the department and across regions as and when the opportunity arises.
