SUMMARY:
Job Title: Accountant (Automotive Industry)
Location: Centurion
Remuneration: R400 000 to R540 000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

Job Purpose:
To ensure the provision of a high-quality financial accounting service that supports the effective management of financial resources, within the statutory and regulatory guidelines. The Accountant reports to the Financial Manager and will be responsible for the full accounting duties such as the debtors, creditors, petty cash, banking accounts, statutory, and monthly reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Creditors:
- including the processing of invoices
- Following up with suppliers and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Account reconciliations
Debtors:
- Processing payments
- Producing the statement of accounts
- Collection of overdue accounts
- Account reconciliations
Banking – processing bank deposits and bank reconciliations
Processing of employee expenses
Company credit card reconciliations
Invoice creation and distribution when required.
Filing and record retention
Keeping and maintaining the fixed asset register
General journals – g. Depreciation, provisions, interest, salaries, etc.

POSITION INFO:
Required qualification and working knowledge:

Automotive and Parts Manufacturing Industry working knowledge
Matric with Accounting
Bcom Accounting Degree or similar Financial Management Degree
At least 3 years’ experience in commerce and industry
Computer Literate – proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel Skills.
Previous Financial software package experience essential
