Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 years post Articles within an Accounting firm.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Auditing:
  
  • Participating in the audit process, which involves examining and verifying financial statements, assessing financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Preparing audit working papers, documenting findings, and assisting in the preparation of audit reports.

• Taxation:
  
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Advising clients on tax planning and compliance with tax laws.

• Accounting:
  
  • Preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Recording financial transactions and ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
  • Performing reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Client Interaction:
  
  • Communicating with clients to gather necessary financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting clients with queries related to accounting, tax, and audit matters.

• Financial Analysis:
  
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for senior accountants and managers.

• Compliance and Regulations:
  
  • Ensuring that all accounting and financial practices comply with relevant laws, standards, and regulations, such as the Companies Act and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software E-filing, SAGE and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
