Minimum requirements:

Completed degree
Completed SAIPA articles
Registered SAIPA professional
Working experience in the retail sector will be an advantageMinimum 5 years experience in a similar role within the retail sector

Ability to work in a team environment

Key responsibilities:

Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; analyze financial data to highlight trends and anomalies
Debtors and creditors posting and management
Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborate with departmental heads to prepare budgets; continuously monitor actual expenses against budget and provide variance analysis
Tax compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and adherence to tax regulations
Internal controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
Stakeholder management: Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, and other stakeholders to provide necessary financial data and reports
Strategic input: Play an instrumental role in financial planning and strategy development
Reconciliation: Oversee monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial accounts
Staff management: Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback

Remuneration:

R25 000 - R30 000 Cost to Company (Negotiable depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
