ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER (ZANDVLIET, WESTERN CAPE)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Assistant Plant Manager. This position reports to both the Plant Manager and Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing the wastewater treatment facility, ensuring effective management, supervision, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent higher qualification.
- Registration as a DWS Class V or VI Process Controller is mandatory.
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in wastewater treatment, with at least 4 years in a supervisory/management capacity.
- 5 years of experience with membrane bioreactor (MBR) plant operations.
- Strong experience in water/wastewater treatment, SCADA systems, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- Proven track record in professional report writing.
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- Competency in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and related software.
