API Developer (PHP & C#)

POSITION INFO:

Our client is seeking a skilled API Developer with experience in PHP and C# to design, to join their team in Pretoria.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both PHP and C#, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using PHP and C#.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Optimize and refactor code to improve performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues and bugs.
• Ensure API security and compliance with industry standards.
• Document API design, development processes, and technical specifications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an API Developer with strong proficiency in both PHP and C#.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel/Lumen, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Experience with .NET frameworks and C# development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of source control systems, such as Git.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS) is a plus.
• Experience with API management tools and practices.
