SUMMARY:
My client is seeking an Associate ALM Risk Analyst. The purpose of this position is to support the Risk Support Department (RSD) in managing asset and liability management (ALM)-related risks. The Associate ALM Risk Analyst will be part of a team of risk specialists providing expertise in managing liquidity and interest-rate risks within banking and insurance companies.

POSITION INFO:

Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications would be advantageous:

Experience in ALM risk management.
Familiarity with the Basel frameworks related to liquidity risk at both theoretical and practical levels.
Knowledge of liquidity risk papers published by the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.
Understanding of the Insurance Act.
Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Professional Risk Manager (PRMIA) qualification.
Strong risk and control knowledge.

Additional Requirements

Knowledge of the risks faced by insurance companies.
Willingness to travel for on-site reviews and assessments.
Effective time management and innovative analytical/problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (hybrid and face-to-face).
Position is based in Pretoria
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 software packages (e.g., Word, Excel, and Teams).
