ACCOUNTANT (MODDERFONTEIN, GAUTENG)

SUMMARY:
The Accountant is responsible for supporting GL functions, Fixed Assets management, VAT compliance, and general administrative tasks. The role involves ensuring accurate and complete financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and collaborating with the European Accounting Operations Centre and local finance teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

• BCom Degree or Accounting/Finance Diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (preferably JDE).
• Knowledge of accounting standards (US-GAAP, Local GAAP, J-SOX, IFRS).
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Proactive, self-starting, and results-driven.
