SUMMARY:
A motivated Head of Risk Operations is sought to lead a diverse team. This role requires strategic thinking and strong leadership skills.

POSITION INFO:

Vacancy: Head of Risk Operations
Location: Melrose, Johannesburg

Requirements:

15 years' experience in a leadership role.
Candidates with experience in commodities (preferred), profit and loss (PnL), derivatives, swaps, or banking, specifically within risk management.
Ability to manage a team of 10+ individuals.
The position requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree. Preferred fields of study typically include finance, economics, business administration, or a related discipline that supports risk management and operations.

Effective communication skills.
Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
Proactive and customer-focused.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel to Europe once or twice a year
