SUMMARY:
Our client is recruiting for an energetic and friendly Group IT Technician to join their IT Team, to serve as the primary contact for all user-level IT inquiries, responding promptly to needs and ensuring optimal system performance.

POSITION INFO:
Group IT Technician
Ormonde, JHB South, In office

Requirements:

Over 3 years in IT support and systems maintenance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration
Detail-oriented, with solid problem-solving abilities
Comfortable with hands-on tasks, including cabling and equipment setup

Preferred Knowledge:

Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server environments
Microsoft Office 365 and cloud solutions
Exchange Server management
Familiarity with phone system configurations and troubleshooting
Exposure to IP and Security Camera Systems

KPA’s:

Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure prompt resolution for minimal disruption
Document and manage support tickets, prioritizing and updating users on progress
Install, configure, and update applications, ensuring compliance with standards
Resolve software issues and assist users with software guidance
Diagnose, resolve, and install hardware including computers, printers, and network devices
Conduct IT training, develop user guides, and support users on software, security, and technology
Provide support remotely and on-site, using tools to resolve issues and traveling as needed
Maintain IT asset inventory, track lifecycle, and conduct regular audits for accuracy
Promote security best practices, monitor compliance, and support implementation of security measures
Assist the infrastructure team with daily server, network, and device support
Identify and address recurring issues, gather user feedback, and stay current on IT trends
