Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to lead a Finance Consolidation Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full financial reporting function, including the consolidation of financial results for the Wealth Segment, and ensuring alignment with business strategy. This dynamic role involves engaging with stakeholders across the organization, managing governance and compliance, and providing oversight for both the holding company and financial advisory businesses.

POSITION INFO:

Manage the full financial accounting and reporting function, including the timely delivery of consolidated financial results, business plans, and capital plans for the segment
Act as the key liaison with stakeholders for segment reporting, audits, data governance, financial controls, and risk policies
Ensure the business is adequately funded, solvent, and liquid, while providing insights to improve capital returns
Support new business ventures and capital transactions through financial analysis and valuations
Provide technical accounting expertise on IFRS matters
Generate internal management reports and drive the automation of key financial functions in collaboration with IT
Assist with ad-hoc tasks, projects, and analysis across Finance Teams and business operations
Oversee financial management, including reporting, taxation, legal, risk, and compliance for statutory companies
Manage audits of statutory companies and relationships with independent financial advisory businesses
Provide financial insights, report on variances, and ensure governance and compliance at an operational level

Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial manager role, preferably within the financial services industry
Prior experience in consolidation and group reporting is highly desirable
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
High accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on meeting delivery timelines
Excellent planning and coordination skills
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities
Proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset
Solid understanding of the financial services’ regulatory environment
