Job Description

Key Performance Areas:

  • Create, develop and maintain meaningful relationships with both existing and potential clients
  • Present The Company in a dynamic, highly professional and ethical manner
  • Client Liaison & Retention
  • Develop a strong, proactive effective working relationships with the Executive, Operational and Support teams

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary Education essential
  • Outgoing, presentable demeanor
  • Sound knowledge and experience of the sales process 
  • Computer Literate (Excel & Word)
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience preferably in Retail, Food and Catering Industry
  • High Impact presentation and proposal writing experience
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Sound financial knowledge and budgeting
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and objectives
  • Driver’s license – Extensive Travel

Performance Standard:

  • Achievement of sales targets, monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Prospect, canvas and research all sales leads for allotted business / geographic segment according to weekly target requirements, which may change from time to time
  • Qualify potential and existing business opportunities.
  • Set up and attend all prospective appointments where possible, with the segment General Manager or operational team
  • Liaise with the Business Support on a daily basis in order to manage the appointment and sales process with prospective clients
  • Enter all required sales activity information in the CRM system daily or as soon as reasonable after interactions
  • Develop a needs and wants analysis for all new clients, this to be discussed and agreed with the Operations and Sales Executive’s prior to all client presentation
  • Complete prescribed feasibility model inputs for all potential contracts and ensure these are given to the respective Business Finance Manager for financial modeling
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations in line with company standards
  • Develop strong relations with operations and support services
  • Achieve deadlines and sales activity targets which are to be agreed upon in writing between yourself and the Sales & Marketing Executive
  • Manage negotiations and presentations at all levels
  • Take full responsibility for the entire sales cycle:
  • Develop trusting, strong relationships with operational teams
  • Initiate, compile and negotiate contractual terms with prospective clients and for approval of the Executive team.
  • To market and develop the Sales approach to be professional, exact and above reproach
  • Maintain regular and open communications with line and staff management, attending their meetings when required
  • Manage and take an active role in Key Account Management
  • Play an active role within the national sales team
  • Assist in project work as delegated by the Sales & Marketing Executive
  • Attend meetings and communication mediums as required
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Represent The Company in a professional manner at all times i.e. at appointments, client outings etc.
  • Develop and participate in a structured entertainment programme for potential clients
  • Accurately and timeously produce segment activity reports weekly and monthly
  • Produce monthly reviews highlighting segment performance and action plan to achieve target
  • Produce segment statistical information relative to market share, competitor activity
